Are silver mollies known to be aggressive fish?

I have two goldfish and the silver molly. After about a week, the molly started biting the side of the smallest goldfish over and over. He left a small raised white spot where he had been biting. I have separated them now, the goldfish and the molly. But now it seems the other goldfish is picking on the little goldfish too. Why would all the other fish seem to bother this one so much? He is so nice and I don’t know what to do to protect him.
