Can i connect my 12V DC battery charger to my computer power supply?

I have a 12V DC battery charger that charges the batteries for my RC plane. The problem i have is that it needs to connect to a cigarette lighter from a car to charge because thats the connection it has. I was wondering if i can do some other type of wiring to charge it in my house instead of connecting it in my car. I was thnking maybe my computer power supply since it is 12V but im not sure if that will work or break the charger. Please give me any other ideas that will work inside my home without having to take the charger all the way to my car.

  1. I wouldn’t try it. You could damage your computer. It’s easier just to get a 12 VDC power supply to connect your battery charger to.
