I am looking to buy a new gaming computer, but am looking for the cheapest parts (yet good parts…dont need to be GREAT or anything).
My old parts were…
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
Corsair 512mb PC3200 DDR (2x for 1GB)
XFX GEFORCE 6600 GT PCI-Express (nVIDIA)
CHAINTECH VNF4 Ultra 939 ATX AMD Motherboard
ATI TV Wonder Pro TV Tuner
250 GB Hard Drive (Western Digital, I believe)
I know I could just buy those and be able to play those games, but im looking to buy all my parts on NewEgg.com and 3/4 of those parts are not even stocked anymore they′re already so old…
anybody wanna help build my computer? lol
sorry. thought i said the games!
Mainly
World of Warcraft
Counter Strike: Source
budget = cheap as possible that can play those games.
All depends which games you want to play, and those depend most heavily on the video card you get. Youll be fine with any Core 2 processor, and 2-4 Gb of memory
As far as GPU goes, just get one that has 512 mb. The are many variations in this range though, you should be able to get one from $75 to $300 depending on how many processor cores, shaders, memory type, speed, it has
Those are pretty mid range games. Just go for a 9800 GT or a 4850 Radeon HD
Whats your budget? I can build a very good computer that can handle just about any game there is for about 750 dollars, AND using all current technology.
I just built one on NewEgg for 462.00, and thats using current technology but not the fastest. Prices can go down from there.
ATHLON AM2 X2 6000+
