Computer parts that you don’t need?

Hi, i’m 18 and want to build a new computer since my university is taking away my laptop (that they gave me) because i am going to another college and i dont have the funds to buy a new computer (i work to pay off my tuition, can′t take out loans or fed aid). I was wondering if anyone wanted to ship any computer parts to me? can′t look on ebay, im cash strapped as it is, i have no way to buy the parts myself. but thanks for the suggestion.
I will check out freecycle.org as well, thank you. I do have things that I can give away that I have stockpiled up before, like books and whatnot.

Take a look on your local freecycle.org. It’s a website where people give away (or look for ) items. They have to be free. Just remember that you have to give something away first - doesn’t have to be anything big. Then you can request computer parts or an old computer. Or you can just check out the website periodically and see if someone has one to give away. I’ve seen lots of computers and CRT type monitors that people want to give away. Good luck.
