Did you ever read a self-help book and feel worse?
Funnyaccountant asked:
I find I have more problems than before I read the book.
I find I have more problems than before I read the book.
Is this the author’s way to get you to buy his next book?
if you answer this you’ll feel better :
happens to me all the time
Could be his motive. Doctors will be happy to sponsor that kind of book, where the message is basically - “You are sick. I’m surprised you can function - it could be fatal. Run to a doctor.”
Yes, I have. I do not remember the book’s name. It happened to me one time. It made me feel really bad and unsure of myself.
If self-help bookswere all they were cut out to be, then no one in the world would have any problems. Most aren’t worth the paper they’re written on. They are merely ideas from different individuals who think they have insideknowledge on something they have no business talking about.
The only ’self-help’ book with any substance and a proven track record is God’s own word, the Bible.
God Bless and thanks for reading.
Most books go into the minutia of problems and how to solve them. Totally overlooking the simplicity of the situation and dealing with it from that simple level.
That simple approach is one which deals with the problem rather than trying to find it. The problem is buried within your mind and acts as a trigger which prompts thoughts and actions.. unconsciously. Those triggers are implanted in “symbolic form” so are unreachable and unable to be understood by the intellectual mind anyway.
There is a formula for reaching and eliminating those triggers. Just by using a part of your mind (which spends a lot of time in this area), it can be utilized to find those triggers and eliminate them. Simplicity is the correct way to go.
yes because i could have written it and got money
