Hard Drives?
art asked:
I have 2 IDE hard drives. But IDE is SO slow and was wondering if there was a way to convert it to SATA. I know of the IDE to SATA things, but they just convert the interface, they do not make a difference in speed. So is there a way to make IDE to SATA, and have MORE speed?

IDE is as fast as SATA. There is pretty much no difference in all modern drives. A 1999 IDE drive is slower than a 2008 SATA but a 2008 SATA is pretty much equal to a 2008 IDE.
Unfortunately you can’t do that..
No. Sorry. There will always be the bottleneck of the ide connector. It is only as fast as its weakest component.
Think of dumping out a 20 oz pop. Now dump out a 2 liter of pop. They both have the same stream and flow rate because of the limiting factor of the bottleneck.
Buy a IDE to SATA converter for your hard drive.
Pls see in u’r SATA hard drives back side. U see a jumper sating. Remove this jumper. Then restart Ur computer. I know u see effect.
