I think people should be able to date whoever they want to. I am more often attracted to white men. Not because I think there is anything wrong with black men or anything like that, unless you count the fact that they will usually ask me out on an actual date as opposed to just getting a number and maybe a couple of phone calls before they want to “hit it.”

No one can get angry at anyone for dating whome they want.
People are dumb, that’s why. Black females are expected to either be single or wait around for no one but black guys like some love-sick pets, and never seek their own happiness by dating outside the race, even though black guys do the same thing ALL THE TIME.
Like I said, people are dumb.
The only people who are angry are the ones who don’t like IR. However, some of the anger could be considered territorial disputes. A person could be mad that someone is dating a person that they believe should be with them and no one else. There is also the people who believe that there shouldn’t be any mixing so that everyone keeps there own uniqueness. I have dated black and a mixed women and most people didn’t care.
This is bull. There is no shortage of good black men but because that’s the stereotype, people rush to support it. Maybe you haven’t found a good man because you’re not a good woman.
most black women do not interracial date. neither do black men. so get over it and stop trying to pinpoint us against each other.
dear DLJ - can you cite your references of black men and interracial relationships? are you saying black women cannot seek happiness with black men?

I agree with Qwerty (lmao!). You shouldn’t believe the hype. Don’t prejudge every man you will possibly meet, and run him through your NEGATIVE check list (just so you can prove he fits some stereotype). As a result, no matter what type of man you meet he will fail each and every time because you already hold him to such low standards. Stop sweating it so much…in my opinion.

Shortage of good black men, are you kidding me? I run into intelligent handsome black men everyday, it’s just that they are mostly dating outside of the race because there are too many ghetto hoochie unattractive black women out here making us all look bad.
The ’shortage of good black men’ is not the reason why I date interracially. I date interracially because I prefer to.
In my opinion the people who get angry are jealous, insecure and possibly racist. There may be some feelings of inferiority on their part as well.
