Buy a good tanning lotion like hemp is great.

You should always wear sunscreen while out in the sun because if you’re not protecting from the sun rays, you may cause damage to your skin. has a great article on sunscreens on today’s page under the Health section. Buy really good sunscreen, if its water-proof, even better!
I get tanned alot just by staying a good couple of hours in my outdoor pool, since the sun is attracted to water as well.
You can also visit the beach, and put on sunscreen and tanning lotion as well. Just doze off or relax in the sun, but dont stay in the sun for too long!

Sun tans are not healthy! They are bad for you. That pretty tan you see walking down the street is really just the evidence of skin damage. When I see tans I don’t see something pretty. Use sun screen everyday. Limit your time in the sun as much as possible. And if you still think you need a tan, go get sprayed. Cancer is not sexy or pretty, wrinkles are not sexy or pretty…that is what I see in a SUN tan. I’m 31 and I have had close to 20 spots biopsied from childhood sun exposure. Good luck.

virgin olive oil will oil your skin too and also make it tan easier
45 sun screen is good to help protect your skin, and minimize the time in the sun, near the water is best place to tan as it radiates off the water and therefore less harmful rays.
tanning salons are even more dangerous unless they have top equipment, yet still are harmful.
