You should try to look up some statistics on F1 cars - braking turning and accelerating G’s and such. They’re incredible machines. But what “car” with a V8 revving to 19k isn’t?

Heavens that video is old. WIlliams BMW? I have one of their old flags. It’s a collectors item. There are dozens of these videos, one of the most fun being Jeremy Clarkson in a Ferrari 775 against a much newer F1 Renault. The results are the same. Formula 1 is the very top of the racing pyramid when it comes to performance. The razor’s edge. As for a stock car vs. an M5, that would be an interesting race. The stock car would have better acceleration but the M5, a new one, would give it a run for its money on an oval track when it came to top speed.

I have a new respect for F1 but that guy got in there and was able to go fast off the bat. Those cars are fast though. Cool video, thanks for sharing. I wish they raced a Nascar against that M5.
