How Do I combine Two Hard drives as one?

James S asked:

I have dual 120 hard drives, one with the OS programs and so on and the other is just a blank storage drive. How can I get my computer to recognize both drives as one single 240 drive?

I am running Windows vista home premium.

  1. you cant uness u know metal forging and circuit board soddering. sadly ull have to patition one as a slave.

  2. well, i suppose you could set them to raid 0 if they’re sata drives and that would increase the access speed and combine the drives into one.

or set them to raid 5 where it’s seen as one continuous drive, but it’s not as fast (so there’s no reason to use raid 5 when you have raid 0)

otherwise i don’t think you can set IDE drives in raid configuration
