How do I use both hard drives if I have two in my computer with only one currently in use?
Josh L asked:
I purchased a new hard drive a couple years ago and transferred everything to it. My old one is still in the computer, I assume just sitting there. Can I use that old drive at the same time as my current one to add more space? I’ve never heard of being able to use two separate drives at the same time, but that’s why I’m asking. Any websites that could help? Thanks!

Yes you can, Which one has the OS on it use that for running your PC and reformat the other so it will delete everything. Then you can put games, movies, music on that one.
Yes you can.
1. From the sounds of it they are compatible with your system.
2. Are they on the same cable that plugs into the motherboard? Or did you unplug the old one?
3. Which version of Windows are you running.
4. Can you format (wipe clean) the old drive that you are not using?
Yes, you can
You need adjust jumper setting to make them work.
One HD (the larger one) set to master; the other HD set to slave.
Check your Hard Drive manual, If you lose it, Go to HD manufacture website, like Maxtor, or Seagate, etc. There you shall find how to do it.
ya u can just look it up on youtube.
