How do you get a letter in high school baseball?
Marius B asked:
I’m a freshman and I’m one of the best if not the best baseball player in my grade. I want to know what it takes to get a letter and what my chances might be. I go to a school that is not particularly strong at sports.

try out for the team stuipd
They only give the letters to the players that make varsity team Well good luck.
You must participate on the varsity baseball team. That’s all
we dont even use letters at our school anymore
It depends on the school. each school has their own rules. 9th and 10th grade where junior varsity and got a small letter. 11th and 12 grade were Varsity and got a large letter. It just depends on the coach and your school.
Depends on the school.
For me it was to make the varsity team and play so many innings throughout the year. When I was a freshman though I think our whole team was freshman except four. So yeah I think we all lettered but cant remember the exact requirements but most of the time its something like that. Or if you make the playoffs everyone on the roster at that time lettered as well. Made it easy for the JV kids that were brought along just to watch but hey they were cool so its good. Good Luck though and if you are the best in your grade then you should be lettering in no time. Just give it your all
Every school is different, check with the baseball coach or his assistant, it might be just making the Varsity team, or it might take you playing in so many Varsity games for you to get a letter.
