How do you know a chemical reaction occurred when mixing sodium chloride and silver nitrate?
Angelina asked:
I had to mix sodium chloride with silver nitrate. They were colorless before. After mixing the solutions, the solution became white initially. Then I had to observe it after 10 minutes. It was still white. (I think??) What evidence is there that a chemical reaction occurred upon mixing? Is there any evidence of a further reaction occurring after ten minutes?
Again, I didn’t get to finish this part of the lab, as I ran out of time. Thanks.
