How to drive a dual clutch transmission with paddle shifters?

Kenny T asked:

I don′t want to know how the transmission works I want to know how to drive the thing, such as a BMW ̇. Do you lift off the gas when shifting? Also when making a turn do you shift down first and then brake? Or do you brake first and then shift down? Also when coming to a stop should you just shift into neutral? Please I need someone who has actually driven this kind of transmission not just anyone. I′m really curious to know. Please answer the all the questions.
When shifting do you let off ghe gas in a dual clutch transmission? What are the steps to take when going for a turn in a dual clutch transmission? Do I brake first and then downshift or downshift and then brake? I′m not talking about a manual transmission, I already know how that works!!!!!

  1. its a manual…,clutch down,in gear let of clutch till engine sound drops then give it gas…yes you lift gas of whilst shifting..taking a turn all depends on how fast tyhe car is going at the time..you can use the gears to brake[slow down] unlike autos…when comming to a stop gare down..5th,4th,etc then nutral once stopped…hope this helps…best bet is find a large open space [car park] and just play..it will kangaroo a little to start with but i find them alot more fun then autos
