If Barry Bonds used steriods and he was a professional cyclist would it matter?

No offense to Lance but no one could’ve increased their strenght after surviving cancer without the help steriods. This is impossible. Unless he’s “Superman!”

  1. I agree with you, especially since his closest competion was juiced up. No way someone is naturally that much better than juiced competitors.

  2. Nope it wouldn’t

    but

how bout Mike Lowell beating testicular cancer and coming back to all star form?

Actually, if he had been a professional cyclist he would have been drug tested hundreds of times during the period when baseball was not testing, just like Lance Armstrong was tested (and never failed).

  4. if he was a cyclist he wouldn’t have broken the most hallowed record in all of sports

  5. No.
However, the cyclists use blood doping and HGH (Human Growth Hormone), not steroids. Blood doping is when the athlete trains at high altitudes so their bodies produce more red blood cell to transfer oxygen around their body. They draw this blood with the elevated red blood cell count and inject it back into themselves while competing.
HGH, or Human Growth Hormone, is not a steroid. I’m pretty sure Bonds used HGH in 2004 or 2005 after a surgery. In the first part of the decade HGH was not one of baseballs banned substances and was regularly used to speed up recovery from injuries. Even since the MLB banned HGH it is virtually undetectable by todays testing standards.

If Bonds was a cyclist, it sure as hell wouldn’t matter to Americans. Those little girls that call themselves the French might take an exception to it, though.

To me personally? No - because I really couldn’t care less about professional cycling. Would it have mattered to the sport of cycling? Yes, because Bonds would have probably been caught because cycling has a much more stringent testing program then MLB does. The scariest part would have been Bonds getting huge and then putting on a spandex pair of shorts to get on a bicycle that probably only weighs about 5 pounds. That would probably have the French thinking about surrendering again. I know if i saw him coming down a hill at me, it would scare me to death.
