If you were going to be offered a Baseball Scholarship when would the school start watching you?
Nikkismommy asked:
I know Baseball is a Spring sport, and most high school Seniors know where they are going to college before the last semester. Is your Senior year too late for a school to offer you a Baseball Scholarship? Wouldn′t you have some idea that you were being considered your Junior year?

Yes, you would have an idea that you had schools interested in you.
Not to say, you cant kick some butt this year and get noticed!
No, your senior year is not too late. Yes some schools have prospects that are juniors, but you can still prove yourself your senior year and earn a scholarship.
The key is letting the colleges know that you are interested prior to the start of your senior year, this way they can come out and watch you play at the beginning of the season. Trust me if you are good enough, they will find a way to get you on the team.
Most colleges have forms for interested athletes to fill out if they are interested in trying out for a college team. See the example at the link: Main Page:
Every college should have some type of similar form to express your interest. If not, then look up the head baseball coach’s e-mail and send him a note conveying your interest.
Don’t wait on the school to come to you, go ahead and let them know you are interested. Doing this should increase your chances of obtaining a college scholarship exponentially.
Good Luck!
