Is it possible to control a self-built big RC plane using radio controlled remote?

me and my friend are thinking of making a homemade RC plane…which is not really a RC plane but bigger…so is it possible to control its flight using radio controlled remote or something like that? suggestions will be greatly appreciated…

  1. It is possible to build a large scale R/C plane. You will just need larger servos to drive the control surfaces. I suggest that you start on something more conventional and then work your way up. If it gets too big the aviation authorities will be knocking on your door!
