Is Solid Gold Wolf King a good food for my English Mastiff?

Meghan asked:

We have narrowed it down to Eagle Pack large/giant breed or Solid Gold Wolf King. We are leaning more towards Solid Gold because it is easier to find in our area. Any incite would be great! Thanks!

  1. Solid Gold is an excellent food. I feed it to my dog and you’re right. It is easier to find. I can get it at Petco.

  2. Both foods are good choices.

    In dogfoodanalysis.com’s opinion:
The Solid Gold Wolfking received four out of six stars.
The Eagle Pack also received four out of six stars.

“Next would be Eagle Pack, but only if one of the Holistic formulas. They have their own manufacturing plant in Indiana. Problem I see with Eagle Pack down the road is they were purchased by a conglomerate and you may see the introduction of inferior ingredients into their Holistic foods. It’s already happened to their basic foods like Prism.

Finally would be Solid Gold. My only reason for putting them third is that they do not make their own food. It is made by Diamond and I’m not all that happy with Diamond as a company. They’ve had several recalls over the past 3 years for contaminated grains which makes me believe their quality controls aren’t as good as they should be. But that’s just a personal opinion.”
