Is there any way to clean a sweatshirt with silver Sharpie writing on it without the writing fading?

I have a black cotton sweatshirt that has been signed by a band. They used a silver Sharpie. I haven’t washed it yet because I′m afraid the signatures wash out, but it needs to be cleaned soon because I wear it fairly often.
