Isn’t it how funny that those who bashed Bonds for months are now defending Rick Ankiel?

Ankiel admitted to it and is now not taking it, he also said he would test for ANY substance. He was also out of Baseball at the time. Bonds said he NOT knowingly took HGH .
I agree with everything you said….how those same bashers are two faced hipocritical jerks. to be honest, I dont think it is this way because Bonds isn’t media friendly and Ankiel is. It is probably a race issue.
For the record, I never liked Barry Bonds much. It has nothing to do with “enhancers”, race, or home runs. It has nothing to do with any other player (although, I read this because you mention Ankiel). I dislike the man because he is a jerk. Bonds will admit that. I respect his ability and his honesty, but people like you, who want to make this a huge issue, dishonor Bonds more than he does himself. You, and a few others I’ve seen on here, are smearing Bonds much worse than speculation and the media. Please stop. The man is not trying to win a popularity contest. He’s trying to play the game he loves.
I think Ankiel should be scrutinized even more than the HR record that Bonds broke. Whereas Bonds is breaking a record that A-Rod will break in a few seasons… and plays for a lousy Giants team in last place.
Rick Ankiel is completely changing the playoff race in the NL. What if St Louis makes the playoffs? They were pretty dead until Ankiel got hot…
I’m sure Brewer and Cubs fans will not be happy to see a suspected HGH user help the Cards win the NL Central.

2. I never bashed Bonds for steriod because steriods were legal at the time, not bashing Ankiel for HGH for same reason

Bonds is one of those whiny self-centered egotistical rich guys who has a rotten personality and is immature. PEDs or not, he’s disgusting. Now that he has the record, no one is going off on him. Selig blew the PEDs issue years ago. So, his records stand, he goes in the hall, and he’s still a lousy rotten excuse for a man.
Ankiel’s story is different. He’s not an established star, he used to be a pitcher, and his personality doesn’t smell through the TV screen the Bonds’ does. PEDs? Sure. Now? Not likely. Nor is it likely Bonds is on them, either.
But Bonds is as abrasive as a wire brush and Ankiel hasn’t yet shown us that. So, yes, I’m pulling for Ankiel.
Rick Ankiel is using HGH. I still say it’s cheating even though he is not bonds. becuase it could be affecting the out come of the game. I really don’t think any substance that ulters the players should be allowed regardless of who they are.
yes 100% agreed. just goes to show how america is made up of a bunch of hypocrites. LA Dodger fans boo bonds yet take pictures of him when he is batting. they boo bonds, if he gets walked they boo their pitcher, if bonds strikes out or flies out they cheer. hypocrites, same for padres fans and pretty much ever other teams’ fans.

There is no test for HGH in baseball so Rick Ankiel is still taking this stuff. The commissioner better not go to any Cardinal games and put an asterisks on all the home runs that Ankiel has hit along with the games the Cards have played.

I guess I haven’t been keeping up with baseball, cuz I have no idea who Rick Ankiel, but I can just imagine all the double standard talk……what happened? I was on vacation for 2 weeks and just returned 2 days ago, so I haven’t really heard anything about it, and where we go, we are usually outside with the rest of the gang from the resort. Now I feel stupid for not knowing what u r talking about, but I do know one thing, I don’t think Bonds ever took any steriods or anything else.
I bashed Barry Bonds, now I am lambasting Rick Ankiel. I can assure you that I have not played favorites, and I do not intend to start now. I would not want to hurt Jason Giambi’s feelings or make Gary Sheffield feel left out. A jerk is a jerk.
