newbie to RC car racing?

I want to get myself an Rc car and join the local RC club for racing. what do you guys recommend. what scale car should i go for. i prefer the bigger ones. and electric. abt how much will a car like this come to? over here it′ll be like 500$ honestly i cant afford so much. if thats the case would buying a 2nd hand one be a good idea

  1. The cheapest ones are about 200-300.

    the $300 ones arn’t bad.

    You can buy body kits and other accessories to pimp out your ride too, but the actual RC car will cost a few hundred.

    1/8 scale if your on dirt,pavement 1/10 scale,go with nitro power,i have several r/c cars and buggies,i’v been racing since a was 11yrs old now i’m 34,i buy most of my stuff from here.

    Anyway.. you can get started for $500 pretty easily. The car itself would run about $300 and the charger/batteries would run about $150-$200 (for several batteries). I would suggest visiting. There are thousands of people interested in RC on that site and it even has a glossary which would be really good to check out.
