$$ of flights or trains (round trip) to Alaska from the States?
cody asked:
My brother and I want to go to Alaska and we’re wondering how much a round trip plane or train ticket would cost us from Denver or Seattle?

I’ll take any websites or any tips you can offer. I did a little research but couldn’t find much.
i would fly, a good way is to fly from seattle because it will be cheaper.
here are some websites:
Orbitz
Travelocity
expedia
don’t know if it still runs, but my parents took a ferry from Alaska to Washington state back in the late 60’s when they came home after my dad got out of the Army…see if you can find out about it because I have no idea
There is no train service to Alaska. See site below for sample plane fares to anchorage. sounds like an excellent fare to me. i just picked dates at random, but you can put in dates you want and check the flights. i like Hotwire because when thy tell you a price , that is the bottom line…there are no taxes or fees added later.
i dont think there are trains that run to alaska.. as far as airline ticket prices go, they don’t always run cheap. it depends on what time of year you are coming, which i am assuming is the summer time. that is the busiest tourist season, but for a reason. thats probably the most beautiful time of year.
denver and seattle offer direct flights to anchorage, our most populated city in the state. but, i don’t know which city you are heading toward.. typically a plane ticket here from seattle is a good 600$… could be more, or less on the time of year…
you should check the heavily advertised websites like expedia, travelocity, etc…you might also want to check alaska airlines but they don’t typically have that great of deals..kayak.com is also handy for searching multiple airlines to find you the best deal.
good luck!
No trains to Alaska, never has been.
Now planes we have plenty…
Also, check out the Alaska State Ferry. It operates between Bellingham, Washington and Alaska.
