Should I transfer my 401k money into bonds instead of keeping them in stocks?
QuickQuestion asked:
I know we are all in the same boat but I’ve lost almost 6k in the past 2 months and it’s driving me nuts. My husband keeps telling me to wait it out since we are still in our early 30′s.

Bonds are more conservative than stocks, but not necessarily safer.
For a safe play, individual government bonds or CDs. Unfortunately, neither are usually available in 401ks.
You could look at intermediate term government bond funds, the best performing group right now. In spite of the name, they are NOT government insured. However, if run by a firm like Fidelity or Vanguard, they’re ok.
