Since the Yankees have made offers to Sabathia, Burnett and Lowe, when will baseball have a needed Salary cap?

Now that the NY Yankees are about to sign Sabathia, Lowe and Burnett, isnt baseball the most absurd so called sport of them all? Buying players has done nothing but make baseball for the rich, many teams cannot even compete anymore, and the Yankees are the culprits. Millions of Americans from across the country need to get together, and have baseball implement a salary cap, or the sport is over for most of us.
