What age is right to start dating a person or have a boyfriend?
pink asked:
I′m confused on which age range should i start dating. Some people say 17-and up while many others have said 14- and up. My mother say’s 16, but some of my mom’s friend’s say that their daughter’s started dating at 13. Plus many people in my school already have boyfriends and girlfriends. I get so confused. I′m only 14! So many of my classmates have told me that i should have a boyfriend(i’m the second oldest in my class and i’m an 8th grader! yikes!). I don’t want one, yet. I can wait another year. I thought maybe 15-16 would be better. I want to know what’s th right age to start?

At least 16if you are a boy 18 if Girl
15 ( or whenever you feel ready)
16 probably would be better, and dont worry about what others think, not having a boyfriend is not bad. i’ve never dated (partly because my parents wont let me and partly cuz i dont want to) and i’m 15. in a way, its better, cuz you dont deal with boyfriend problems and you dont get sidetracked when you need to concentrate on school or something important like that
Hopefully the older you are the more maturity you will have then.
The younger kids are, they get too serious too quick or just think they truly care ,when it’s just lust/passion.
From experience I would say 17 and older is best, but even then, don’t get serious quick. Guy’s are good at saying and doing things that they can be telling Another girl a day or a week later.
A lot depends on the person’s character and values.
whenever you feel ready to have a realationship is when you should have one. you say you can wait another year then go for it there shouldn’t be pressure on you to go out and find a boyfriend. you do it when you feel ready.
16 is a good age, especially since you don’t feel ready. Why should you do something just because everyone else is? (Remember the cliff?) At your age, it’s a good time to have guy and girl friends and really get comfortable with the other sex. I had friends who had a boyfriends starting in 7th grade, and they didn’t really have an identity beyond that. Besides, girls mature faster than boys, so unless you’re dating someone in high school, there’s a good chance that the boy isn’t ready, either.
IF YOU DON’T WANT ONE RIGHT NOW THEN WAIT A YEAR i’M AS OLD AS YOU AND DON’T HAVE ONE YET ANYWAY
