There are many different places online. Of all the places, I think TIGERDIRECT.COM is probably the most tried and tested. You may also check out AMAZON, MYSIMON, NEWEGG, and even BEST BUY.

Well, it sort of depends on the type of computer you want to build. If you are very particular in the parts that you are going to put into the computer and you don't want to purchase them from several different sources, then you will want a source that has a very wide selection. On the other hand if you are not particular, that is, you do not require a particular mother board and a particular video card and particular DVD-RW drive, etc. then your options are more open.

I am rather particular and I shopped my last computer at

They are not cheap but they have a greast selection of parts.

I think that newegg does also mentioned by another responder.

I use newegg.com We run a computer firm. I have purchased roughly 40,000 dollars worth of parts to build computers for clients. Best prices, best service, and definitely the best shipping..
