What are the major rule differences between baseball and slow-pitch softball?
mp asked:
I have played baseball in leagues and watch MLB but I will be playing in my first softball league this summer. I was wondering if someone could explain the major rule differences besides, obviously, the bigger ball and underhand pitching.

Most slow-pitch softball leagues use ten players instead of nine.
Some leagues also consider it an out if you hit a two-strike foul ball.
I also know of a slow pitch league where a player is actually ejected from the game if he hits two home runs in the game.
Your coach or team manager should have a copy of the rules for the players to look over. I started to give you the site for ASA and ISA, but discovered that the wiki entry will probably answer your questions, especially down toward the bottom where it talks about game play. Have fun this summer!
