I have dated a white guy and my family was more than happy. They dont care they taught me to see people not color. They know I love white guys and they would love for me to have mixed kids. Me and him did get stares from the white girls
( I am 14 yrsold) and some give me looks like “Why is she with him, im hotter than her”, while some really dont care and I’m friends with them. I have had plenty of white girls say my boyfriend is “hot”. While I have had some black girls give me grim looks and say “Why you with that white boy when you can have some good chocolate brother, black girls need to date black boys blah blah”. While me and him would go out to places we have gotten stares from the white people and blacks. While some would smile at us and say hello which is nice to hear. Some people just have a problem with different “colors” dating. ITS JUST A SKIN COLOR.

no1 is 100% of 1 race so what do u mean by interracial dating??? im biracial (like majority of people) my mother is white (german & polish) & my father is african american. yes people r still as racist as they were in the past just not as vocal people called my mom a n***er lover & called me & my sisters half breeds, mutts, oreos etc etc… these racist remarks hav only come from white people where we lived personally ive never dealt wit racism from african americans. people who dont agree wit different skin colors dating need to get over it because they are not 100% of 1 race just because ur a white person doesnt mean ur not biracial & the same for black people. but theres nothing u can do about it cuz it will never change people hav their own views on things & thats just how it is. love any1 that loves u & dont worry bout what the rest have to say. WOW FRITZ D HAS ALOT OF RACIAL THINGS TO SAY ITS PRETTY FUNNY THO I JUST LAUGH AT IGNORANT PEOPLE LIKE HIM I HOPE HIS DAUGHTERS BANG A WHOLE BUNCH OF BLACK DUDES & HAVE A WHOLE BUNCH OF BEAUTIFUL BIRACIAL CHILDREN

Some people give surprised looks, but no one has ever been overtly hostile towards us. Both of our families are cool with it too and even if they weren’t, too bad.

I’m engaged to a man who is Asian and German. At first, his mother, who is Vietnamese, was concerned when he told her he was dating me. I assume she pictured this stereotypical black ghetto hoochie mamma. However, when his family met me, they accepted me with open arms. My family has always accepted my fiance because I have dated outside of my race before and my family isn’t the typical black family. I’ve got an uncle who’s been jamming the guitar since I was a baby and my mother dated a white man in college.

We live in a suburb where it is about 98% white and we’ve never encountered any problems. Sure, people stare a bit, but never in a mean way. We’ve been accepted totally here and have made many friends.

Detroit is a bit different. There, we do get nasty glares, primarily from black men. They tend to give me the looks as if I have somehow become a traitor. The black women either compliment me on how attractive he is or give me a look like I think i’m better. White women sometimes give me little looks but I think its because i’ve got a very attractive man.

White men have been the most accepting.

We have a daughter too.

My advice is to not care what anyone else thinks. As long as he makes you happy, ignore people who don’t like it. It’s none of their damn business. They need to worry about what’s going on in their own house, knowwhatimean? People are too damn nosy as it is and if someone ever gives you a dirty look, give your man a wet, sloppy kiss and give them something to look at.

No one has ever flat out said “you two shouldn’t be dating” or something, but my fiance and I occasionally get dirty looks and weird stares. My mom doesn’t care. Her main concern is that a guy cares for me and treats me well. I think people will always be prejudice, but you have to learn to ignore them. Skin color doesn’t have an effect on a person’s personality so as long as you’re happy, that should be all that matters.

I’m mixed and I’ve dated a white man- for many years- we are best friends til this day. We never received any problems- My family loved him. People often complimented us when we went of places. Honey it’s 2007- Enjoy being with your man and be proud. As long as he is treating you good and you guys love each other. Color really doesn’t matter.

On dealing with people that disagree, you basicly have to ignore them, they won’t understand if you try to explain. Most people have been acceptive of it. My family didn’t mind, they had no problem. Yes, a lot of people are still just as perjudiced today as they were years ago. Good luck.
