  1. I like Western Digital a lot, I’d recommend them or Seagate.

    IMHO you should avoid Maxtor. Their tech support sucks and I’ve had a higher proportion of Maxtor drives fail on me than any of the other brands.

    Western Digital, Seagate and even the CompUSA brand externals are very good. you should be fine with one of those.

  3. I have been using Western Digital and Hammer HD with no trouble in the last couple of years.

  5. Western Digital, Seagate, and Maxtor are very good. I have found that these drives are very reliable. I like these three companies and would recommend them to anyone.
