What is the importance of a 52-week high in stocks?

Cause that would be the highest in a year, and the lowest in a year.
It is important tso that you can see the whole trend in what it will do in a long term. If you one look at a short time frame, the stock could just be having a good month, then dive. It is always better to look at the bigger picture.
