What is the importance of a 52-week high in stocks?

amazingan𜖏 asked:

I’m supposed to be writing about it, and I really have no clue what the point is in the 52 week highs and lows for stocks.
I just need a simple explanation, not a whole wikipedia-entry sized blob.
Although, if you know where I can read up on the subject, that would be appreciated as well.
Yea, I figured as much.
But, what’s actually important about it?
Thank you doggenfreak.

  1. Cause that would be the highest in a year, and the lowest in a year.

  2. It is important tso that you can see the whole trend in what it will do in a long term. If you one look at a short time frame, the stock could just be having a good month, then dive. It is always better to look at the bigger picture.
