  1. When we buy a new computer, what we do is round up every thumb drive in the family and use them to transfer files from one computer to the other.

We’ve also burned CDs, but the flash drives hold more.

Depending on how much stuff you need to move, you can do this over a few days or in a long afternoon.

  2. Click start……click control panel….click network connnections……..under network tasks……..click “set up a small home or office networks”….the user-friendly wizard will guide you through.. If the user-friendly wizard doesnt seem too friendly, you may also use a flash disk, a floppy disk, or a cd recordable disk, depending on the file types and sizes you want to copy……..

  3. Burn them to dvd+r. This way at least you get a backup.

Create a network between the two computers. This will most likely be a wired or wireless ethernet network. Then you can quickly and easily share all the files you want :)

  5. Connect your computers together via a hub, network switch, or router. set up a home network. Share the files that you want to transfer by putting them into the Shared folder (XP) or the Public folder (Vista). These files will then be visible to both machines.

Or you can try a CAT5 crossover cable, but I’ve not had much success with them.

  6. Use a USB flash drive… its the most simple way!

  7. 3 options

1.Buy one USB stick(pen drive) whenever u need,u copy it and take it whereever u required.

since u have wifi and bluetooth options in your laptap u can choose below one also

2.you can go for wireless adaptor.

3.Or u can go for Bluetooth dongle (but quality of service would be good in wifi only i.e. 2nd option)

if u ask best way to me i would recommend you go with a pen drive for temporary trasfer it is best

Kindly refer to below attached links to learn more on crossover cable as well as it’s colour coding, hope it helps.

Using Below u can transfer between hard drives

Start the File and Setting Transfer Wizard. Click NEXT and then select that this is the OLD COMPUTER. Hit next. It will perform a search and will then bring up a new screen that asks for a transfer method. Select OTHER, browse to a folder on your second hard drive and hit next. Select if you want to collect settings and files, files or just settings. It may present you with a dialoge screen saying that you should install certain programs on your new computer in order to have their setting properly transfer. Just click next. The program will collect data and settings it needs to complete the transfer. Let it continue the transfer untill it is finished, might be a while for some.

  8. All the answers are OK, but I would use a usb data transfer cable, ultimately your choice though, the link below gives you an idea, and this is the best, safest way, in my opinion anyway.

Good luck in whichever method you use
