whats wrong with my RC car?

yitzac1990 asked:

i have a Nikko Mazda RX-8 1/16th scale RC car. I was taking it apart one day to see what the insides looked like and when i finished putting it back together it stopped working. I dont know why because i put it back just the way i found it and nothing happened to it. Do i need a new circuit board or what?

thanks
Also, i know the motor itself works because i touched a 9-volt battery directly to the motor and it worked just fine.

  1. I personally don’t know what is wrong with it, but you can go to hobby people, and have them check it out. THey do it for free. It will only cost you something, if you have them fix it for you. BUt it is wourth a try going down there and having them check it out.

  2. Good luck, its done for. I tried getting some help from nikko through email, but they never responded. There are no replacement parts available. They will not share the schematics, so it would be very difficult to repair the board. Do what I did and chuck it in the trash, and buy a real RC car at a hobby shop. By the way, hobby people will probably laugh at you if you take a nikko rc car in for service. They are not designed to be repairable. If you really want to fix it, your best shot is to go see some electronics guy and hope he finds something obvious. Sorry to give you bad news, but it is the truth.
