which is rarer, the gold cartridge or the gray cartridge for the Legend of Zelda for the NES?

I know it was originally released in gold but then later in gray. I always thought that the gold cartridge was the rarest but I just recently read something that said that the gray cartridge is harder to find, I am lost, help.

i remember that it was the gold cartridge
You rarely see someone with a gold cartridge for LoZ for the NES, so the gold cartridge would be more rare.
dont know id say gold
I think the gray (didn’t know there actually was one) would be more rare because I believe all of the North American copies of The Legend of Zelda were gold in color.
From wikipedia: “Nintendo published the game a year later in North America, with a small portion of the box cut out to display the unique gold-colored cartridge.”
i have both cartidges … i never knew that … mine still work … try amazon and ebay to see what they selling for and how many there are .
The gray is the rarer of the two. It came out later in the NES life as part of the player’s choice line of games.
However both are woth about the same and would go for about $5-10 on ebay for a cart by itself. (even though gray is rarer, their are plenty out their and many still prefer the gold)
