Who wants to congratulate us? My husband got laid off without a notice after 8 years of service. Without a?
thirsty mind asked:
notice. After looking for a job for 6 months, the company that laid him off , called him back. They said things were failing apart. They ask him to start on Monday. Then 5 minutes latter he got a call back from another company offering tons more money. He get to tell the first job to shove it !!!
OMG, I can’t wait to read all these great comments to him. He’ll be so happy. Thanks so much !!

Good man =D
Congratulations! Indeed. Companies do not value years of service and loyalty to a company anymore. I find this very sad.
I’m glad to hear it worked our for your husband…. boy I bet that felt good!
Congratulations!! Party time!
I hate how companies treat loyal employees, that’s such utter bull.
How cool that it worked out for you guys, AND you got to shove it back in the companies face that messed you guys over originally.
Good story. Makes me smile. Good luck with everything.
Congrats! I hope he LOVES the new job!!!
congrat, i’m happy for the both of you.
sweet bet his old job felt pretty stupid
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
that Rocks!!
don’t get too excited, i am sure he is on a 1 year probation period and as easily as they hired him they can fire him.
Hahahaha I would be SO happy to shove it in the other companys face and say that i already got a better job! CONGRATULATIONS!
congratulation!
congrats….I had this happen to me and I told the comapny that laid me off to shove it….yeah for you….wishing you the best of luck…
Is it really worth it….
If he really hated the 1st employer then he should be glad to walk away.
It might feel good for 10 minutes but you never know when you will need something from them… Info, a job,,, insurance info, 401K, a future job with another company where someone recommends him.
I know getting laid off sucks but try the higher ground.. it feels better in the long run. Life is too short
My 2cents…
Congrats on your husband’s new job - I hope that they don’t run him off after another 8 years so save your money…. Sometimes the magic works….be advised that no matter how bitter you are about a company getting rid of you, it is always better to be polite….remember to the SOB’s that fired you is that what goes around comes around. I got run off from a place after 22 years - I had to sit out a year (went back to college and made straight A’s in Nursing) then slowly get back in the business. I am now making 3X what did before and all the f_ckers that fired me are unemployed or their careers are stalled out. Sweet…
Honey, I will personally congratulate you every day this week! (lol). I know exactly what your husband was going through. My husband has been on his job for 17 years, and is a loyal employee, and he gets unfair treatment while the slackers get away with murder! He is currently in search of a new job, and when he finds one, he will tell this current job to shove it. Good luck and great success to you both.
Good for you and your hubby.I wish that some companies could learn to think before they leap.If he gave 8 years of his life for them then he deserves better than what they gave him,It`s there loss.I hope he will do great on his new job.
