Will a baseball cap made out of an acrylic/wool blend shrink?

AG asked:

I know that wool baseball hats will shrink if you expose them to moisture, heat, etc. Will a hat made out of 70% acrylic and 30% wool also shrink? I WANT to shrink this hat but I don′t know if it’s possible.

  1. Wool is a major shrinker and if its in the blend, it will shrink if it’s washed hot and dried hot, but it also may lose some of its shape, so you might want to use one of those ballcap cages if you have one.
