I was wondering if you can put Windows software and computer games on a Linux operating system and have them work properly?

  1. Depends on the program. Programs like Firefox have a Linux version, but programs like Microsoft Word do not.

  2. You’ll have to install a program onto your Linux system called WINE. WINE is a Windows emulator. In essence it is a type of virtual machine that will run native Windows apps and their .dll’s. Wine is currently in experimental stage so not all Windows programs will work. you can d/l the program at. Good luck :)

  3. no some will work and some dont

  4. It all depends, usually for games you need cedega a high powered version of wine to get great results. Just check to appDBs
